We understand that this is a difficult time for you and we want to help you celebrate the life of your loved one through a custom made video.
At Media Poet, we are here to help you tell your story. We’ll create a beautiful customized tribute video for your loved one using images, video clips, newspaper clips, or any element you choose that can be digitized.
Scanned Images*
If you choose to scan your own photos, please scan them at 300dpi or greater. The greater the resolution, the more flexibility we will have to enlarge portions of the photo for creativity. This also will give you flexibility in the future if you choose to have the scanned image printed at a later date.
If you prefer, we will scan your photos. Our cost for scanning is $1.00 per photo.
We strive to make the best video possible and picture quality is especially important. The higher the resolution, the better the images will look in the finished project. Most images will look good on a TV or computer. When viewing through a projector, you may be limited by the specifications of the projector.
Photos To Use
If possible, submit original images. Online images such as Facebook and Instagram compress the images resulting in poor quality when enlarging the image.
We will do our best touch up some defects in images for better quality (red eye, etc…).
Is it ok to use smaller sized images? Yes – we’ll include all pictures of your choosing, and we’ll do our best to create the best final product.

Do you have a desired theme, a hobby or favorite color?
You can choose from the ideas below to get started or give us a description of your loved one and we’ll create the perfect video for them.

How long will it take for a final video?
Typical single videos will have a completion time of no more than 48 hours (from the time we receive your photos/elements). Additional time may be required depending on the complexity of added elements. If you do have additional elements but need a faster turnaround, please let us know.
How long will each picture be viewed at a time during the video?
A typical amount of time for pictures to display is between 6 and 8 seconds each. As an example, if you submit 60 pictures, you can expect a video to be between 6 and 8 minutes. If you have a desired length for your video that needs to be shorter or longer (possibly to fit the length of a song during a service), picture/element display time can be adjusted in creative ways.

Can I start preparing my pictures?
Yes – If you have a certain order that you would like to have the pictures displayed, please number the pictures. Also, you may choose a closing picture. If you prefer, we will organize the pictures based on our experience with making videos.
All videos and scanned photos will be made available for electronic download. Video length may vary depending on package and video elements that have been added. Instrumental music can be included with all videos. We are able to accommodate more than 200 pictures. Please contact us for pricing.
